Shoshone Geyser Basin Professional Reviews and Guides
"The scenic hiking trail along Shoshone Creek provides access to several thermal soaking areas in Shoshone Geyser Basin. To reach the trail, drive east of Old Faithful for 3.5 miles to the Lone Star trailhead. It’s a long 9-mile hike to the Shoshone Geyser Basin, so be sure to get your backcountry camping permits and assigned campsite ahead of time. There are many unmarked thermal springs and geysers in this area and few established trails. What appears to be solid ground can actually be a thin crust over extremely hot water, so use great caution if you decide to soak along the creek."
