Harlequin Lake Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"A very short stroll for hikers and birders to a hidden mountain lake close to the highway."
--Bill Schneider, Hiking Yellowstone National Park (Falcon Guides).
"The Harlequin Lake Trail is a short, easy hike to a 10-acre secluded lake. The circular lake is half covered in lily pads with bright yellow flowers. A variety of birds inhabit the area, but the lake does not have fish. The Yellowstone fires of 1988 burned the lodgepole trees surrounding this trail, and thousands of new lodgepole pines now cover the hillside."
--Robert Stone, Day Hikes in Yellowstone National Park (Day Hike Books).
