This relatively flat boardwalk loops around a varied geyser basin, a volcanic caldera within a caldera, and past some of the park’s most colorful hot springs. Though they aren’t the most volatile or dynamic attractions, it’s an intimate and usually uncrowded look at some unique hydrothermal features. For the bigger picture, add a short climb to an overlook of the lake.

A simple little stroll along a boardwalk between some fairly quiescent thermal features. The hot springs have some fantastic colouring, but the geysers here are mostly dormant. Nice views accross Lake Yellowstone, and a lovely spot for a picnic lunch.
