Hermitage Point Colter Bay - Jackson Lake

Teton County, Wyoming

Hermitage Point: Colter Bay - Jackson Lake Professional Review and Guide

"The Hermitage Point Trail loops around the perimeter of a large peninsula that extends into Jackson Lake. The trail begins at Colter Bay and meanders across the rolling terrain through forests and meadows, passing ponds and creeks to the tip of the peninsula. Throughout the hike are stunning views of the Tetons and their majestic peaks.

Open Canyon rests between Death Canyon and Granite Canyon along the Teton front range. It is a shallow canyon in relation to the other Teton canyons. Open Canyon is a V-shaped canyon formed by water erosion rather than the typical U-shaped canyons formed by moving glacial ice."
