Firebox Park, Trail 051 Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a steep hike up an impressive canyon traveling west from the Bud Love Wildlife Management Unit. It provides good access to the large roadless area of the Rock Creek Drainage.

This trail takes off from the Taylor Pond Parking Area of the Bud Love Wildlife Management Area. Here the riparian zone along the stream can harbor both white-tailed and mule deer. The soft purr notes of mountain bluebirds can be sometimes heard as well. In August, grasshoppers are plentiful, and the leaves of a few trees are showing tinges of yellow, hinting at the coming fall."
