This route can be pedaled from mid-May through the fall. Muddy conditions, especially in the early spring, make the road across the desert nearly impassable; wait for the road to dry before making the trip. The route can be hot and dry in the summer and this is better as a spring or fall ride. Located in the Red Desert, approximately 30 miles northeast of Rock Springs. The trail begins on a gravel road for 7 miles and then follows doubletrack for the next 4 miles. The final 13.5 miles follow doubletrack.
