The Terrace Mountain Loop literally circles Terrace Mountain. The hike weaves through the Hoodoos, a garden of dynamic travertine rock formations. The northern part of the hike crosses Pinyon Terrace and Snow Pass between Terrace Mountain and Claggett Butte. The return route follows Glen Creek thorough Gardners Hole.

The hike up Glen Creek is pleasant enough, but the Snow Pass portion was rather dull - the landscape isn't particularly interesting, and there aren't really any good views. The hoodoos portion is great, but you don't need to do the whole loop to see it.
