Smith Lake Trail-Dickinson Park to Smith Lake

Smith Lake Trail-Dickinson Park to Smith Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"In the northern reaches of the Popo Agie Wilderness, between the high granite plateaus east of the Continental Divide and the long limestone ridges on the eastern flanks of the range, numerous large, deep cirques reach back into the interior of the Wind Rivers.

The Smith Lakes chain, west of Dickinson Park, lies beneath a broad alpine plateau where three large cirques converge. Eight lakes dot this basin, and five of these can be reached within a few hours from the trailhead by following the scenic Smith Lake Trail."
