Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point South Jenny Lake Trailhead to Cascade Canyon

Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point South Jenny Lake Trailhead to Cascade Canyon Professional Review and Guide

"This hike is one of the most popular trails in the national park. Inspiration Point, on the west edge of Jenny Lake, sits atop an outcropping on a glacial bench more than 400 feet above the lake. The magnificent overlook rests near the mouth of Cascade Canyon beneath Ice Point, Storm Point, and Symmetry Spire on Mount St. John. The pinnacles of Teewinot Mountain tower across the canyon.

The views stretch out across Jenny Lake and the Snake River Valley to the Gros Ventre Mountains east of Jackson Hole. Beautiful Hidden Falls, surrounded by spruce and fir, drops 200 feet along Cascade Creek before tumbling into Jenny Lake. This hike begins on the east shore of Jenny Lake and can be shortened two miles by taking the boat shuttle from the Jenny Lake Ranger Station to the west shore."

This is a level hike through 2 meadows, partly along a stream. Beautiful views of the Tetons, but nothing special about the walk itself.
