A friend an I did this trail over the fourth of July weekend and had an incredible hike. In the first day alone, we saw a moose, numerous coyotes, elk, deer, and a grizzly bear at the pass between West Pilgrim Creek and Arizona Creek. This is without question the the most wild area I have ever been to in the lower 48 states. I've been to the area multiple times and I've yet to see another hiker. It's the only area I've been to where the bear tracks outnumber the human ones(literally). We crossed over into the Arizona creek drainage when we were there and saw a heard of elk that was so large that when they ran away the ground rumbled. On the hillside above Bailey Meadows there is an incredible view of the Tetons and Jackson Lake. If you crave real wilderness....this is the place
