I didn't do the entire loop, I did from the trailhead to the Death Canyon patrol cabin and then went up the Alaska basin trail a little ways. This is a very nice and beautiful trail that I very much enjoyed. It is however, very busy so get to the trailhead early to find a parking spot, by lunch time you will almost be unable to find a place to park and will have to walk a mile to the trail. The trail has some nice views of Phelps lake and runs next to the fast flowing creek that goes down the drainage. Lots of spectacular views.
