Cache Creek Canyon to Snow King Summit Cache Creek Trailhead Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This hike up to the Snow King Summit heads up the northeast slope of Snow King Mountain from Cache Creek Canyon, making a loop along the Hagen Trail and Ferrin’s Trail. The Hagen Trail meanders up the lower slope of Snow King Mountain through shaded forest and open, flower-filled meadows.
Ferrin’s Trail is a partially shaded single-track path that continues up the northeast slope to a saddle at the head of the West Game Creek drainage, just below Snow King’s eastern summit. The hike returns on the Elkhorn Trail (also known as the Snow King Mountain Trail), a dirt maintenance road. The road zigzags down the face of the ski mountain, returning to a footpath in Cache Creek Canyon. Throughout the hike are great vistas of the surrounding mountains, the Teton Range, the elk preserve, the Gros Ventre Range, and the town of Jackson."
