Dog Creek

Dog Creek Professional Review and Guide

"Highlights: This scenic path parallels Dog Creek but the technical trail makes it difficult to sight-see while moving. Hazards: Rocky segments, steep drop-offs, tree roots, logs and other debris; limited visibility in areas with thick vegetation. Tread: Mostly singletrack but some dirt road and double-track."

"Dog Creek, in the remote Snake River Range, flows down a lush canyon and joins the Snake River southwest of Hoback Junction. The Dog Creek Trail heads up the canyon parallel to the creek through an endless garden of wildflowers. Moose and elk are frequently seen in this quiet, backcountry drainage. The trail continues westward to many connections along the Snake River Range."
