Blacktail Butte North Access from Highway Professional Review and Guide
"Blacktail Butte is a large, isolated land form rising 1 ,1 00 feet from the Jackson Hole valley floor. The 7,688-foot butte lies just to the east of the Moose entrance station. From the summit are amazing 360-degree views. To the north and west are wide vistas across the expansive valley to the Teton Range. To the south and east, the views span across the National Elk Refuge to the Gros Ventre Range. In contrast to the more populated pullouts along the main park roads, the hike offers a quiet view of the beautiful scenery."
