Lewis River Channel Professional Review and Guide
"This day trip proceeds along the north shore of Lewis Lake to the Lewis River Channel and includes a leisurely paddle up the river for approximately 2 miles. At this point, you are halted in your upstream paddle by the increase in water flow. Your relaxed float downstream tot he lake is followed by the return across the north shore, for which caution is required. Be aware of wind and waves on Lewis Lake, especially in the afternoon; some obstacles (rocks and trees) in the river channel. Attractions include fishing, bird watching (especially ospreys and eagles), small thermal area."
