Glendo State Park Campgrounds Professional Review and Guide
"The abundance of cedar wood at the Glendo area produces campfire aromas that will never be forgotten and offer added flavoring for hot dogs and other roasted goodies. Water sports lure large numbers of campers over weekends and holidays. The large cottonwoods and easy access to the lake make this a great choice. Level spots with some places to tie up boats add to the appeal.
It can get windy, though the trees provide some protection. On a busy weekend the beach looks like a crowded community; however, a good share of the residents are on the lake. Firewood is plentiful along the high water line. Cottonwood and aromatic cedar driftwood make up the majority. Glendo State Park is located between Casper and Cheyenne in eastern Wyoming.
Campgrounds included in this eTrail are: Whiskey Gulch, Custer Cove, Shelter Point, Reno Cove, Red Hills, Elkhorn, Two Moon, and Sandy Beach."
