The Thorofare and the South Boundary Trail

The Thorofare and the South Boundary Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The longest and perhaps best backpacking trip in Yellowstone and definitely the only place in the lower forty-eight where you can hike 30 miles and be 30 miles in all four directions from the nearest road.

This route requires at least seven days, and you could spend two weeks, but we recommend a nine-day trip averaging about 8.5 miles per day. This includes one rest day and extra time for fishing."
