An open-ended trip that gives you a taste of paddling the east shore of Yellowstone Lake and shows how easily you can leave civilization behind in Yellowstone. Be aware of wind and waves, especially in the afternoon. Attractions include waterfowl and birdlife; in addition to interesting and jagged shoreline. You will find a large beach area at Sedge Bay and perhaps other paddlers preparing to head out. Most paddlers embarking from here are heading into the backcountry for an overnight experience, but this also is a great place to start a day trip, the length of which can be completely up to you.
