Shadow Mountain Trail to Antelope Peak Professional Review and Guide
"Shadow Mountain rises up from Antelope Flats along the eastern boundary of Grand Teton National Park in the Teton National Forest. The Shadow Mountain Trail begins at the base of the mountain at the park boundary. The trail winds up a small canyon in the center of the mountain through a mixed forest of evergreens and aspen. The hike ends at Shadow Mountain Road by Antelope Peak, the mountain’s 8,252-foot summit. From a large meadow near the summit are far-reaching views across Antelope Flats and the cottonwood-lined Snake River to Jackson Lake. These are some of the finest vistas of the Teton Range."
