No family member will ever be bored in a national park as spectacular as Yellowstone. This important and impressive geothermal region continues to display some of the powerful forces deep within the earth. Old Faithful erupts spraying steam hundreds of feet into the air. But this well-known geyser, with a habit of spouting on schedule, is just one of many that mark the landscape. Yellowstone offers much more than geysers. Admire the canyon, hike through forests along trails that lead to waterfalls, take scenic boat trips on the lake, fish for trout, ride horseback, and just look out your car window to see bison, moose, and bighorn sheep in their native habitat. This eTrail is one complete vacation written with families in mind. It’s loaded with exciting things to do, family-friendly places to lodge and dine, recommended side trips, local sources of information, and detailed travel directions.

This is one experience that you'll never forget. Me and my family rented snow mobiles and rode through the entire park. It's spectacular- the dense snow covered forest, frozen waterfalls, and Ol' Faithful. Not to mention the wildlife. An elk wasn't more than 30 feet away eating moss down by the river and a heard of buffalo was close enough that I could have touched them with my hand. Yellow Stone is a natural wonder and a magnificent piece of artwork. I cherish that experience and hope to return in the summer time as I've heard it's just as beautiful then as well.
