Great hike.... LOTS of uphill, but worth it for the views.... and just think the last 3 miles will be downhill.

A moderate hike with a good chance of seeing bighorn sheep and other wildlife. I would recommend taking it early in the day, as you can be pretty exposed - either to the hot sun or afternoon thunderstorms. Beautiful views, of course.

Beautiful hike with a 9 year old daughter. Gorgeous and rewarding view from the summit where we had a sandwich picnic.

Once acclimated to the general elevation at Yellowstone, this is a great day hike. Nice wide path/road and easy to follow. Obviously great views - beautiful alpine vegetation above treeline. We were lucky enough to see several bighorn sheep at the ridgeline. Overall excellent hike and definitely recommend!
