Although it often parallels a busy road, this popular route leads past a series of overlooks and scenic viewpoints, with a couple of opportunities to take steep detours below the canyon rim for close encounters with the impressive falls.

This is a trail with parking lots for the drivers all up and down the area. You might as well drive it and just do the short walk to the overlooks. The best of the views is closed for rebuilding as of our trip out, August 07. Looks like it will be a while before it is reopened. This is the view of the falls from below. Least favorite of all hikes in the area that we took.
