Season: This ride begins at nearly 9,000 feet and tops out at 9,700 feet. The best season to ride this trail is in summer once the trail has dried from snowmelt and early fall. Hunting activity is fairly heavy in the fall; wear bright orange and be especially cautious.

I'm not sure if we were on the loop described in the book, but there are great trails to access both east and west Ten Sleep lakes. We rode more like 22 miles, so there's more riding to be had than published. Some technical riding, long live long rides. Very fun trail.
