Lots of brief, heart burining, uphill sections but the trail is almost completely ride-able. The return ride is worth the climb.

This is a beautiful trail; not too demanding as far as cardio is concerned, but is relatively technical and a blast to ride. I fell a couple of times, once because I nearly crashed into a surprised cow while turning a corner and again because I was busy watching for bears. I’m from Northern California and not used to that particular danger. The ranger had spotted a mommy and her baby on this trail a few days before my ride and warned me, so my concentration was not always on the trail in front of me. I recommend riding this trail with at least one other person; otherwise bring your dog or 12-gauge ;0).
