"Walker Prairie is the largest expanse of grasslands within the eastern foothills of the Bighorns. It provides impressive views, and massive sandstone reefs dot the landscape. Walker Prairie is the largest expanse of grasslands within the eastern foothills of the Bighorns.

Alternative access to the northern end of the prairie can be reached via the Wolf Creek Trail (Trail 001, Hike 34), Hendrick Ridge Trail (Trail 005, Hike 36), or Trail 003 from Sawmill Reservoir. Be aware that grazing leases occur in parts of Walker Prairie. Cattle should be expected during summer visits."
