The hike to Losekamp and Stockade Lakes follows a portion of the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail. The scenic trail crosses picturesque rocky meadows and subalpine forested knolls to the 9,400-foot high mountain lakes. Both lakes rest in forest-fringed meadows at the base of Tibbs Butte. The trail starts from the Hauser Lake Trailhead and may be hiked as a 6-mile shuttle to Gardner Lake (Hike 39).
