Approximately 52 miles southeast of Alpine Junction along the Greys River Road, in the central section of the Wyoming Range. An unforgettable day hike into a unique box canyon. A not-so-recent forest fire, a salvaging clearcut, and a bulldozer’s attempt at land reclamation make this trailhead both unappealing and hard to locate. Do not skirt the creek bank upstream in this first distance. Instead, cut up the hillside just to the north of the creek. Place yourself atop this little hill and above the stream and then head up canyon.
