Little warm (about 80) to start, so we were damp for the first mile of so. The grass is high in spots, so check for ticks when you return. The summit is very nice, rocks make a great place to rest. Little campsite at the top for a few tents. Roads were paved all the way to the trailhead.

Once you get off the service road and start heading up to Tibbet knob its a fun ride easy going at first up hill and you can make it allmost to the summit before you should be prepared to carry your bike for a while. but the downhill is well worth it. very unpopular trail but definitly worth the trek. Has a good view of the valley.

There is a "carry" to the summit of Tibbet Knob. The view is worth it. Starting at Wolf Gap about a mile is pleasantly rideable. Then carry bikes up for about 1/4 mile then ride to the Judge Rye road, (Dirt) 3 or so miles turn right and ride down into Trout Pond Campground. Where your spouse and kids are enjoying the beach. Definitely aerobic. Fun, pretty, challenging!!
