Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Located along the northeastern side of 1,440-acre Sutton Lake and near the Elk River Wildlife Management Area. It is next to the Bee Run Day Use Area, where you will find water amenities such as a boat ramp, a marina, and a beach, as well as a playground and picnic shelters.

Enjoy fishing for catfish, bass, crappie, and sunfish. The Elk River, which is dammed here, offers stocked trout as well as walleye and muskie. There is an accessible pier located in this section known as the Downstream Area below the Elk River dam. For equestrians horseback riding is allowed in the non-recreation areas."
