Carrying Water Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"If you study a topographic map of West Virginia’s most popular
hiking regions, you’re bound to notice North Fork Mountain’s long, straight ridgeline driving like a dagger through many of the region’s highlights, including Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, and Roaring Plains.

It’s even harder to miss North Fork Mountain’s impressive sandstone cliffs in person. For many backpackers in the region, completing 23.5-mile North Fork Mountain Trail is a bucket-list must—despite the demanding challenges it presents."
