"A 44-mile route through the green, rolling Allegheny Mountains, past flowing rivers. The Highland Scenic Highway travels from Richwood east through wildflowers and forests and then turns north and parallels the Cranberry Wilderness border. The two-lane road is paved. Traffic on the byway is generally light, and the route has frequent viewpoints and recreational opportunities.
