Overhanging Rock Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This hike is an easy stroll up a deep, cool ravine. Water pouring down the canyon for thousands of years has carved unique formations in the underlying bedrock. North Bend State Park has so much to offer that visitors have to make choices. First, the hiker has to choose a trail: one of the 15.5 miles of trail in the park or some of the 72 miles of the neighboring North Bend Rail Trail.
If you plan to spend the night in the park, you must decide between star-filled sites at the campground, camp cottages which give you a roof over your head and a bed to lie down in, or a night in the lodge which can satisfy the most discriminating sleeper. When it’s mealtime, guests of the park can decide to cook on their camp stoves or dine in luxury at the lodge restaurant. Fishing, swimming in the pool, putt-putt golf, and playing sports at the “Jamboree” all vie for your time and attention. It’s certain the visitor will not be at a loss for something to do, but may have trouble deciding what to do next. Special Attractions: Cool gorge and interesting rock formations."
