Panther State Forest / Wildlife Management Area Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This heavily wooded area, the southernmost forest in the state, covers more than 7,800 acres and is located in a rugged area near the border with Kentucky and Virginia, which are just to the south. Sites are more rustic than most, but the park does offer amenities, such as a swimming pool with a view of the mountains, making a gorgeous setting for swimming and relaxing.
There is also a kiddie pool suitable for small children. Fishing is available in Panther Creek, which is stocked with trout during the spring. There are also hiking trails available that are mostly interconnecting with some that will take you to overlooks for breathtaking scenery."
