Rend Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"Start your hike in the mining community of Minden. A gentle downhill leads past boulders, bluffs, and soaring woods. Pass old mile markers from when the path was a rail line. This old railroad grade once connected the mines of Minden with the New River Gorge railroad lines below. Along the way you cross multiple trestles that present scenic looks into Arbuckle Creek. The hike culminates in a cleared view of the New River and its whitewater rapids near the historic town of Thurmond."
