Anthony Creek Neola to the Greenbrier River

Anthony Creek: Neola to the Greenbrier River Professional Review and Guide

"This small stream tumbles through beautiful, sparsely settled country. It’s a key tributary of the Greenbrier and one of the few in the state protected by legislation. The river from Neola to Blue Bend Recreation Area is a small trout stream that descends gently over gravel bars, generally following CR 15 and CR 16.

The rapids do not exceed Class-2, but many sharp turns and fallen-limb hazards exist. From Blue Bend to its mouth on the Greenbrier, Anthony Creek passes through wilderness and drops more steeply as it cuts beside Gunpowder Ridge. The rapids for the first 3 or 4 miles are easily negotiated Class-2 drops over minor ledges."
