"If you’re looking for an easy-access destination where you can get some miles under your feet in a day, try Greenbrier State Forest.

Just minutes from I-64 and the famous Greenbrier Resort, the Kates Mountain Loop combines several forest trails and takes you from Harts Run to the top of 3,200-foot Kates Mountain, the region’s dominant geographical feature. You then head back down again, through hollows filled with cove hardwoods, wildflowers, and flowering azaleas in the understory."
