Island in the Sky Trail - Babcock State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The grist mill at Babcock State Park is perhaps one of the most photographed structures in West Virginia; in fact, it’s an icon of the Mountain State. Toss your camera in a bag and start on the Island in the Sky Trail, which gains elevation to an overlook of Glade Creek.

Start and end at the grist mill, walking by sandstone outcroppings along the way. Spend some time exploring the working mill and taking photos before heading out on the trail."
