Brush Creek Bridge 15 miles below WV Turnpike to Bluestone River

Brush Creek: Bridge 1.5 miles below WV Turnpike to Bluestone River Professional Review and Guide

"This nasty little cousin to the Bluestone drains the Princeton area, picking up a slight odor of sewage, crosses under the WV Turnpike, and slashes its way down into the Bluestone Gorge.

A dubbed Brillo Falls, can be pretty mean and may need to be carried depending on conditions. The bridge after Brillo Falls marks the end of the trip for intermediate paddlers. All who tackle the last mile of Brush Creek should be prepared for a great deal of scouting and at least two carries. Shortly after crossing under the bridge, paddlers find themselves staring at the treetops as a 2-step, 35-foot falls (which has
been run) appears. After the falls is a series of long, steep drops that can be run without scouting."
