Blackbird Knob Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This hike explores a relatively newer portion of the Dolly Sods Wilderness, taking you to a secluded vista on the south side of Blackbird Knob. The Blackbird Knob Trail, which this hike uses, gives a good representation of the Dolly Sods, for this wealth of spruce forests, rock outcrops, clear streams, and open fields is a true treasure of the Monongahela.

Elevation changes are insigni?cant, so you can concentrate on the views at hand rather than hanging your head and sucking wind. Do expect company on the hike, but not at the vista point."
