County Feud Loop Motorcycle Ride Professional Review and Guide
"This loop was named for the feud between the small towns of St. George and Parsons. The feud began in 1893 when the people of Parsons took the records of Tucker County from the town of St. George and installed them in Parsons, unceremoniously moving the county seat in the middle of the night. You’ll ride through some of the most remote locales of West Virginia—of North America, for that matter.
This ride also features the wave of the future in electricity production. You’ll see 44 wind turbine generators spinning, harnessing the wind to create electricity. The giant propellers seem to be trying to lift Backbone Mountain off the ground. Narrow and twisty roads await you on this ride—enjoy! Points of interest: Blackwater Falls State Park, Canaan Valley Resort State Park, Dry Fork, a waterfall, wind-powered turbines, Cathedral State Park, and the towns of Davis, Parsons, St. George, and Thomas."
