Bonds Creek Pike to Cornwallis

Bonds Creek: Pike to Cornwallis Professional Review and Guide

"The first half of this run has good current carrying the boater over gravel bars and past boulder-studded banks, small cliffs, and interesting side ravines. Remains of the area’s oil and gas boom are sometimes visible, but the river is in a thick hemlock forest, and the scenery is well above average.

The second part becomes broader and slower moving. The North Bend Rail-Trail goes through two tunnels, but paddlers must cross a long pool as the creek makes a loop approaching Cornwallis. At the mouth of the tunnel there is a small playable hydraulic."
