Babcock State Park Hike

Babcock State Park Hike Professional Review and Guide

"This loop is a fine sampler hike at the facility- and nature-rich state park located on a tributary of the New River, Glade Creek. First you will start at the park’s fully operable gristmill and then climb away from the scenic stream and mill, ascending to the Island-in-the-Sky, a cool stone pillar rising above Glade Creek. Grab a view and then hike a bluff above Glade Creek on the Wilderness Trail. You will return to Glade Creek via the Triple Creek Trail, crossing intermittent streambeds. Walk the shores of Boley Lake just before completing the loop. Give yourself ample time to enjoy other park trails and facilities."
