Waterfalls of the Metro Valley Region

Waterfalls of the Metro Valley Region Professional Review and Guide

"You won’t find much in the way of waterfalls in this part of West Virginia. It’s not that the region is any less mountainous and waterfall prone than any other part of the state, but most of the area is private property, a good portion owned by coal interests.

There are probably several waterfalls in the region; we just don’t know about them. And this is one part of the country where you don’t want to spend a lot of time poking around on back roads looking for waterfalls. It seemed that everywhere I went the road just stopped, usually at a gate to a coal mine. And one supposedly major route turned into a dirt path for about a half mile. This eTrail includes Drawdy Falls."
