"This park is situated in the valley area that is the North Fork of the Hughes River. The bend in the river is where the park got its name. There are two campgrounds located in this park, which is situated next to a 305-acre lake that is actually 8 miles of river.

Fish for bass, muskie, catfish, and crappie. You must have a valid West Virginia state fishing license. You can bring a boat or launch a cartop boat from the canoe launch site. If you bring a motorboat. Fourteen hiking trails range from 0.5 mile to 4.5 miles in length, providing access to overlooks and geological formations, pond views, and even one self-guiding, interpretive trail featuring braille signs."
