Audra State Park

Audra State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Situated on Middle Fork River, Audra State Park is tucked among verdant woodlands in the Buckhannon Watershed area. Swim or fish in Middle Fork River, which runs more like a stream over rocks in this section, depending on water levels and rain amounts.

Some campsites are alongside the river, while others are nestled in among trees and thickets of rhododendrons. There are also some sites accessible to people with disabilities. The park is close to a couple of historic covered bridges and the West Virginia State Wildlife Center."

If you start the trail from the west parking lot, eventually you reach a beautiful portion of the river seldom used by swimmers.
