Brandywine Recreation Area Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Located in the GWJ National Forests near the state line next to Virginia. This campground features Brandywine Lake, which covers 10 acres and has a sandy swimming beach. Nonmotorized boats are welcome.

You can also fish in the creeks that run through the campground or the lake, which is stocked with trout. For hiking you can choose the more strenuous High Knob Trail that is a straight climb of 2 miles along the Shenandoah Mountain ridgeline up to the fire tower. Saw Mill Loop is an easier option that is almost 4 miles in length with creek views."
