Ice Age Trail: Verona Segment Professional Review and Guide
"Climb through prairie restoration overlooking Verona, cross through suburbia in the shelter of woods, and follow a creek on this portion of the Ice Age Scenic Trail, which ends in a popular dog park. From the parking lot, there is a wooden sign over the trailhead close to the road. This is not to be confused with a paved multiuse trail that also departs from this lot and runs parallel to the Ice Age Trail, joining it briefly inside Verona. The trail starts out going west along the edge of CR PD for 0.1 mile, then angles left to cut through restored prairie resplendent with wildflowers. A mowed path circles the prairie section and connects to the bike path. Cross the prairie for 0.2 mile, and then you will cross that outside mowed loop just as you enter the trees under thick canopy on a path that slopes gently downhill."
