Namekagon River Professional Review and Guide
"Similar to the upper stretches of the St. Croix River, the Namekagon—also part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway—offers a relaxed paddle through a wooded corridor following the same course as US 63 but far enough off to avoid most traffic noise. The clear waters run gently except for a few easy passes of riffles, and wildlife is abundant. The park service offers free campsites along the route, and the last stretch is popular for tubing up to your takeout, right across the highway from the National Park Service ranger station."
