Wyalusing State Park

Wyalusing State Park Professional Review and Guide

"Any place where two rivers as large as the Mississippi and Wisconsin converge will be an area of diverse terrain and immense proportion. Wyalusing State Park is located at the confluence of these great bodies of water and offers 5 miles of challenging on- and off-road riding for mountain bikers (though most brochures say 6 miles, the route shown here ignores some areas open to mountain biking).

The path covers the 2,596-acre park from end to end, beginning on the road with some serious descents and climbs, rolling through the forest on a set of singletrack trails, and returning to the road to backtrack over the climbs and descents that started things off. This route is meant for intermediate and advanced riders and will leave the lungs and legs of any class rider thoroughly wrung out and wasted. The entire course takes an hour and a half to complete at a good pace. The off-road section included in the ride is marked as the hiking/ biking Military Ridge Trail."
