Three Rivers Classic

Three Rivers Classic Professional Review and Guide

"At the far northeast corner of the state, along the shoreline of Green Bay, enjoy a ride that takes you through a region influenced by three rivers. You leave from a community that shares its Indian heritage with the first river, while introducing you to the Copper Culture people that inhabited this area around 5600 BC. You then ride along the riverbank and visit a community named for a surveyor who connected the railroad to Military Road. After rolling into the next county, you will pass a few small villages on your way up to the second river, whose name means “snapping turtle.”

Follow the winding lane along the riverbank to a state park that makes a great place for a picnic. Now cruising east to a town on the bay named for a remarkable woman, ride along a third river named for a Indian tribe who greeted the French explorers when they first arrived. Circling to the south, down the shoreline of the bay, you will visit the second river again and a town with the same name. You then continue down the shoreline to the mouth of the first river and turn inland back to the park in Oconto."
